Orb is a Kentucky Derby Stud and So is This Awesome Sports Logo

May 5, 2013

Huge congratulations to Orb who fought off muddy conditions to take home the crown in the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby.

Whether you are a fan of horse racing or not, the “Run for the Roses” is much watch television. It’s the Super Bowl of racing and the “who’s who” has to be in attendance. Fashion statements are just as important as the actual horses running in the race. It’s the one time of year where Mint Juleps are actually a preferred drink rather than a bartender staring at you like you are from out of town.

Orb is now in the history books and all eyes will now focus to see if this horse can do what very few racers can achieve and that’s the triple crown. Either way, Orb at some point will be sent off to stud. That basically means he gets to retire in a beautiful field while Filly’s are brought around for him.

We always got a kick out of the name “stud” which is more commonly used now for males who are good around the ladies. Therefore in typical Awesome Sports Logos fashion, we put the two together to create our Lexington Studs funny t-shirt. Lexington, Kentucky is the home of Keeneland, one of the prestigious horse racing facilities in the world. This ferocious looking horse has steam coming from his nose waiting to break out of the gate and probably waiting to be a stud!

We certainly consider you a stud if you purchase this Awesome Sports Logo awesome t-shirt. Congrats again Orb!

Thanks for reading and supporting Awesome Sports Logos
